Okay, this message might sound a bit harsh, so be prepared I used to play this game when I was younger, thus making me very unaware of money and how it can be wasted on things I don't need. I buy entire games for my games console for the same money. And it is only that, a subscription - other items are only obtainable through further expense as you cannot achieve them in-game - even if a full paying member. Graphics most definitely - pretty but lacking for the subscription price. Overall the game is outdated by today's standard. The dystopian type filtering on this site only pushes its young users to other (more risky) platforms with which to communicate. Kids have access to so many other platforms to chat through. This benefits the business by not having to ever upgrade servers, just reduce the member-base AFTER they've paid.įiltering and chat gestapo is outdated in this day and age. Secondly - KingsIsle will actively watch in-game chats in real time with the intent of banning accounts to the point of uselessness. Using the banking system to their advantage, playing the numbers game in the hope the majority of customers won't notice or care. Certainly do not make the purchaser aware in advance. Nice little racket, as there is no accountability in business. Usually days after - 80c here 1.20 there. While money is important, your player base's opinions should be just as important if not more.įirstly - fraudulently takes more money from your account than authorized. I am done being ignored by a company that clearly doesn't care for it's player base, throws bans around like candy, and only cares about money. Nobody asked for this update, very few liked it, and I am one of the many long term players that hung up their wand and said enough. Spells that were critical to those schools of choice were destroyed and rendered useless, gear (crafted, bought, dropped) was rendered pointless, and Kingsisle didn't even care when people were crying out and saying stop. Destroyed any and all hard work of the players, some of which have been playing for over a decade, and made the long grinding efforts practically useless. What really sealed this game for me and why I left though was this years summer update where they very clearly didn't listen to any outcry of the players. Mind you this is game mainly pointed at kids between the ages of 11-17 so that's quite a price tag on a one week event. Recently they'd been throwing out a lot of events that if you do the math would cost nearly 300 USD to complete. Updates to dungeons that cost money, packs that rarely dropped good items, and other such items were a lot more common. Updates to actual storyline were not often. Don't spend a lot of money, your opinions don't matter. They rarely listened to ideas and only cared about getting as much money out of you as they possibly can. While it was fun at first it quickly became apparent over the yeas that the company itself didn't care at all about it's players or their opinions unless these players were the big spenders. I had been playing this game from the day it came out up until midway through this year. The game become like a malevolent totalitarian dictatorship. The people have been complaining about it a lot, however the company's efforts did not help much. The game used to have a wonderfully designed PVP system which unfortunately was ruined. The time in life is limited, use it wisely It also makes you use a special vocabulary only the players would understand. The game is designed to take immense amount of time including daily chores. This is actually hazard and it can may addict people, especially children.Ģ. To win you are either extremely lucky or try multiple times. To get the most desirable objects you need to spend a lot of money on what is similar to a lottery or a slot machine. Intermittent rewarding - it makes people keep doing mindless, repetitive and costly tasks over and over again. To make people addicted and get their money they apply a lot of technics:ġ. It seems like the game has been losing their paying players, but the ones who keep playing seems frustrated but stay, it reminds me of a toxic hate love relationship. It makes the people busy and on their toes. The company will change the rules of the game quite frequently and it may appear that the item you spent and lot of money and time to achieve becomes useless and you need to pay for another one. It means it can waste one's life on mindless farming. To get better stats and keep up with others you have to spend a lot of money and a lot of time. The game is designed to create inequality among player.
